Welcome to Travilet. By using the Travilet web app or any packaged version of it (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Travilet is
Travilet is a free, community-driven directory that helps people find and share public toilets. Listings are contributed and verified by users, and supplemented by public map data. Travilet is provided as a convenience and helpfulness tool, not as an official or guaranteed record.
2. Your account
You sign in using your email, Google, or Facebook. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for activity that happens under it. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
3. Community contributions
- You may only add a toilet while you are physically at its location; your device location is checked to confirm this.
- You agree not to submit false, misleading, offensive, or duplicate listings, reviews, or reports.
- By submitting content (listings, photos, ratings, reviews), you grant Travilet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the Service.
- You must own or have the right to share anything you upload, including photos.
- We may edit, hide, or remove any contribution, and may suspend accounts that abuse the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to bypass location checks, submitting spam, scraping data at scale, reverse-engineering, interfering with security features, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
5. Accuracy & "as is"
Toilet information is user-generated and may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect. A location may be closed, moved, paid, or unavailable regardless of what a listing says. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. You use the information at your own discretion and risk.
6. Third-party data and links
The Service displays public map data from providers such as OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors) and, where enabled, Google, and may link to third-party maps for directions. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services or their content.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Travilet and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or any listing. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum permitted by law.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we handle and why.
9. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, and may revise these Terms. If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless local mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. (If you operate from another country, update this section accordingly.)
